Redesign - Price Residence

TYPE OF PROJECT: Redesign (existing furniture)
RESIDENCE: Single-family home built in the 1980s OWNER: Single Woman

PURPOSE OF PROJECT / PROBLEM: The new homeowner was uncomfortable in the house as it reflected the prior owner's lifestyle; the white walls and lack of design features also gave feeling of transience; window coverings did not fit the new owner's taste.

SOLUTION: Redesigned room to reflect new homeowner's personallity and lifestyle needs. Performed color consultation using the large area rug as focal point. Shopped for complementary window coverings and accessories. Arranged furniture, artwork and accents to create a more functional and attractive space.

THEME: Deep color tones to create warmth and livability in room, communicating the owner's personality. Coordinating room elements, such as the fireplace, area rug and artwork create a more cohesive and enjoyable room.
